FeedMyInbox is a very simple service that fills the gap between feeds (XML, RSS, Atom) and email. If you would like to know more about what a feed is, have a look at Wikipedia.
Only 3% of internet users are familiar with how feeds work, and are using feed readers to get fresh information from their favorite websites. The other 97% should not be left out in the cold, so now you can subscribe to a feed with your email address.
When you find a feed you would like to subscribe to, just type in the web address (URL) for the site on FeedMyInbox.com. FeedMyInbox will find the feeds available on the page, and you can choose what you want to subscribe to. You’ll immediately start receiving updates on your favorite sites on your inbox, so you won’t have to worry about missing out on anything. The downside could be that the website updates clutter your inbox, but as long as you keep up with the basic sites, you’ll probably be alright. The European Journalism Centre (EJC)has launched the beta version of EUFeeds.eu, an updated every 20 minutes news site that aggregates 500 direct news feeds from newspapers and magazines situated in the 27 European Union countries.

This news tool, which gathers news updates as often as every 20 minutes from all major online European newspapers that use RSS, can be beneficial to anyone who wants to optimize the times of their news searches. The key advantage of the site for journalists is the selection of news media by country. Click the relevant country flag, and you are taken to a page showing the leading stories from that country’s most prominent newspapers and magazines, all on one page.

Netvibes, the popular personalized home page, works great as an RSS reader, but if you’re using it only for this reason, you’re missing out. With the colossal number of available modules, you can use it to increase your productivity or even do serious work. Create a new tab, slap on the following Netvibes modules, and you’ve got yourself a lightweight and always available online office environment.

Webnote

This one is a no-brainer; every office needs its post-its, and webnote will give you the ability to quickly jot down whatever is on your mind at the moment. The webnote module from the Netvibes development team, but we prefer Strongbox, which lets you encode your notes with a password-protected 128-bit encryption for additional security.

To do list

Although not of crucial importance, you can never go wrong with a clock. This one is analog and quite customizable. If you need to know time in more than place in the world, you can set it to show time for up to three different time zones.

Translator

If you need to quickly translate some text, what better tool to use than Google translator? This module makes it even easier. All available languages from Google Language Tool are supported.

Unit Converter

Yes, you can use Google for this purpose, but this unit converter is a bit more practical and definitely looks nicer. Besides, it can convert a staggering number of nearly a hundred different measuring units.

ScribblePad

If you’re a visual type of person who likes to scribble down little drawings when you need to concentrate, you might want to add ScribblePad to your online office. It’s a simple drawing module without any additional options, but it works!
